What happens at a scheduled visit?
We carry compatible salt to the accessible softener, fill to the manufacturer’s recommended level, remove empty bags and visually check for leaks, salt bridging and controller alerts. Salt that does not fit is stored dry beside the unit.
How much salt is included?
Salt Care includes eight 20 kg bags (160 kg) per 12 months of active service. Salt Care Plus includes 16 bags (320 kg). Both plans have four scheduled visits, approximately quarterly, and are billed monthly.
What if I need more salt?
An extra 20 kg bag during a scheduled visit is $14.95 + HST. Extra visits or other work require separate authorization. The allowance is not an unlimited salt or callout service.
Is softener repair included?
Salt Care covers delivery and filling, plus the visual check. Repairs, bridge removal, deep cleaning, specialty media and potassium chloride are outside the service. Any rental repair coverage remains under its separate agreement.
Do I need to rent a softener from Ottawa Comfort?
No. Salt Care can serve suitable customer-owned equipment as well as our softener rentals, subject to route availability and access.
Is my address on a route?
Routes initially cover Greely, Osgoode and nearby Ottawa communities. Send us your address or postal code so we can confirm availability. Interior access must be arranged for each visit.
